SOCO Construction managed the reconfiguration of an existing clubhouse and area around it located in Union, New Jersey. It included new parking lots, full rework of site, and site landscaping. It also included additional paddle ball courts, and a new paddle warming building. Each of these elements are upgrades to the club to create a campus field.
The new two-story, 2,894 sf warming building is made of steel framing and with plenty of windows for guests to view the tennis courts. It features a stylish wooden interior, furniture, and an indoor fireplace complimented with natural stone. In addition, itβs heated using a combination of radiant floor heating, baseboard heaters, and one indoor and outdoor fireplace. The tennis courts are also heated with a total of 3 million BTUs.
Regarding sitework, it covers over 2 acres and includes a new stormwater system with two small-scale bioretention basins, pervious pavement systems, and a water quality device.
