Big Snow is the first indoor ski facility in North America and a premier indoor recreation and entertainment venue. Located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, SOCO Construction was hired to manage the fit-out of over 23,000 sf of guest and operational space dubbed “warm side”. SOCO also assisted the “cold side” to complete their close-out in the American Dream Entertainment Retail Center.
Trades included extensive millwork, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, and finishes. Several of the final finishes and products were custom-made for the space and included several cut log motifs made of and assembled with mixed pine logs. To enhance the entertainment aspect, each gondola video room was developed to give the illusion of traveling up a mountain and themed after Big Snow’s signature colors. Using these inclusive features, the space creates an immersive environment for visitors. Every detail, from the customized entry archways to the signature color schemes, was executed to enhance the comfort and enjoyment of guests.
