SOCO Construction was awarded to manage Phase II of the package distribution center project located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Scope of work includes site-work located on lot 2703 Black Lake Place. This 7.1 acre site will provide on-grade parking for 376 vans.
Construction includes mass earthwork cuts, fills, and exports, along with soil stabilization with lime additives. Installations include pole-mounted site lighting, a new PECO electrical transformer, underground vault, and electrical service equipment to power the site lighting throughout. Installations also include new concrete curbs and sidewalks, heavy-duty pavement with markings, landscaping with two Bio Basins, along with site fencing and railings throughout.
Construction consists of one underground stormwater management basin with a control structure, stormwater drainage systems, and the storm sewer tie-in to Philadelphia’s storm sewer system. Off-site work includes the reconstruction of ADA sidewalk ramps at McNulty & Black Lake Place, upgrades of traffic signaling at Southampton & McNulty and at Southampton & Townsend, along with pavement re-striping on McNulty.
