SOCO Construction managed the construction of a new 14-story apartment building located in West New York, New Jersey. This 156-unit building features one and two-bedroom units, a community room, gym, yoga studio, bike room, keyless fob entry, along with a combination of green roof and hardscape pavers to provide rooftop amenity space and a shade pergola for the ultimate relaxation.
The project consisted of Ecospan construction for floors 4-14 placed on a concrete cast-in-place structure on floors 1-3. It contains a half basement and an underground stormwater storage basin that is remotely satellite-controlled. The exterior facade features a modern blend of brick and metal panels with uPVC windows providing high performance.
Additionally, this building features Juliet Balconies equipped with accent lighting, a large decorative steel slat wall that spans the first floor and greets residents as they enter the building. The interior is comprised of modern kitchens with sleek tile, millwork finishes and kitchen islands. All units have Luxury Vinyl Tile, LED lighting, Meccho Window Shades, and all interior partitions were constructed with an extreme focus on sound attenuation and mold resistance for the tenants.
