SOCO’s Construction was awarded this $19 million assignment to build 32 high-end, condominium waterfront units for the 55 and over community. Constructed at the former Knickerbocker Yacht Club site in Port Washington, Long Island, Cord Meyer’s new development boasts supreme luxury for the adult community along the Long Island Sound. Super Storm Sandy caused major damage and flooding during construction and SOCO’s field staff, with in depth knowledge of the project, were first on-board to assist in the recovery efforts providing detailed insurance claim documentation. The new building has three residential apartment levels, one level of underground parking, a mat slab foundation, and concrete superstructure while the interiors all contain luxury high-end finishes.
